Video gallery of MicroCT scans

A video gallery of organisms scanned with the SkyScan 1172 MicroCT is available at the MARBIGEN site.

The videos are also available in a 3D version, for which red-blue 3D glasses are needed.

MicroCT Seminar by SkyScan

From 11.-14. October 2011, Jeroen Hostens of SkyScan gave a 3-day training seminar on the usage of the SkyScan 1172 MicroCT scanner installed in the facilities of IMBG. The training covered the handling and staining of specimens, scanning parameters, reconstruction of 3D images, creation of 3D models and the analyis software.

Genomics in Biodiversity

Event Date:
Fri, 2011-09-16 00:00 - 18:00

DNA sequencing and genotyping technologies are advancing very fast, with the development
of novel methodologies and machinery and the utilization of new types of molecular markers

MicroCT arrived!

Our brand new Micro-Computertomograph (a SkyScan 1172) arrived! It has already been installed and the first test scans have been run! Dates for a public seminar will be announced soon.

Welcome to our new researchers!

We are happy to welcome our first two new researchers that have been employed within the MARBIGEN project!

MARBIGEN Website online

The project website of the MARBIGEN project is online. Some sections are still under development, but we are confident that the site will be finalized until the end of April.

The website has been built using the Content Management System Drupal.
