MicroCT images Operculum (gill cover) of the serpulid worm Vermiliopsis infundibulum (Polychaeta) , ca. 1mm. Scanned with an Xradia microCT at the University of Vienna, Austria, and visualized with CTVox (volume rendering). The operculum has been virtually cut open to reveal the inner structures. Behind the operculum, the gill crown can be seen.
